DYNAMIC CLASSES

Power Core

 Power Yoga is dynamic class,  structured around a sequence of yoga postures practiced to the pace of one breath, one movement. Students can expect to work on body strength and flexibility as they coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. 

Modern energetic soundtrack: high to medium volume.

Pilates

This class will focus on toning your muscles, giving you a solid core. A strong core will help improve your posture, and we’ll mix this with stretching to help ease your aches and pains. All poses are done gently, working on the deep tissue of your body.

Hatha Flow

Hatha is one our foundation class. It will introduce the basic system of asana/poses practice. Recommended for beginners, these sessions provide a safe space to build a consistent yoga practice and build a deeper mind-body connection.

Detox Flow

Vinyasa-based, The detox flow is Dynamic and harmonized, the emphasis of this class will be on the synergy between conscious breath and movement, helping you deepen your practice. Follow the music and focus on feeling good in your body and mind, not your appearance. Breathing techniques are always included in all OHA classes to help you reset your nervous system and relax. You’ll detoxify your body by activating your lymphatic system.

Mindful Power

In this class, you will focus on living in and appreciating the present. We’ll focus on building strength but then close the class with breathing exercises and mindfulness tips to help you continue feeling great even after the class.

Mindful Vinyasa

Step into the rhythmic flow of our Mindful Vinyasa class, a dynamic and invigorating yoga experience that seamlessly weaves breath and movement. In this class, you’ll journey through a series of poses, each synchronized with the inhales and exhales. Nobody can judge you; you are good as you are. Follow the class and give yourself a chance to appreciate the present moment while building some physical and mental strength. Breathing exercises at the end of the class and mindfulness tips will be provided to help you feel better, longer.

HEALING

Yang/Yin

Start with Energizing and Creative Hatha Flow, safely exploring familiar and also uncommon poses; activating your fiery Yang energy. Embrace depth and calmness with a Meditative, Healing and Tranquil Yin Experience in the second portion of the class.

Yin Yoga

A deep exploration to relax your body and mind. This unique class will be focusing on relaxing, releasing stress and anxiety, and connecting with the sound around you. You’ll focus on your deep muscles to release any kind of pain you might have.

Calming soundtrack: low volume.

Restorative

This class is designed to promote relaxation, stress reduction, and physical restoration. The focus is on gentle, passive stretching, deep breathing, and mindful relaxation.

This class is a slower yoga practices that incorporate gentle, restorative postures, breathing techniques and meditation.

Soundbath & Meditation

Our special session: Tibetan singing bowls are used for deep relaxation, to relieve pain in the joints, muscles and shoulders, to ease pain related to sciatica, the digestive system, headaches or spine injuries, to improve circulation, release tensions, to open the energy flow, eliminate the toxins from the body.

CYNTHIA LENNOX

Hey there, 

My name is Cynthia & I am so excited to be joining the team here at OHA. I completed my 200hr teacher training in Bali in 2022 and I am absolutely bursting with excitement to share my teachings with the students of OHA. Since beginning my yoga journey many years ago, I have always gravitated towards the more spiritual, meditative & self reflective benefits of the practice. I have a huge passion for a vast array of yoga practice styles, however my heart really lies with a slower and more intentional practice. Don’t get me wrong, I still regularly crave a good & spicy vinyasa flow, but you can definitely always count me in for a replenishing restorative or a juicy yin class. 

I immediately resonated with what OHA wanted to bring to this city’s yoga community and I am beyond honoured to be one of their teachers as we gear up to open in March.

JASMINE REID

TEACHER

Jasmine’s yoga practice began over ten years ago. She was drawn to the discipline and movement that yoga provided and was inspired to create goals to overcome obstacles that were presented to her while on her mat. She easily incorporated classes into her daily routine and built a consistent practice by attending classes local to her in Toronto, Calgary, and Revelstoke before she pursued her teaching certification while living in Vancouver.

In Jasmine’s guided Vinyasa sessions, you will develop your yoga practice through continuous mindful movement while building strength and flexibility. A foundation of poses are used in each class to provide consistency to advance, while creative sequences provide the opportunity to explore. Each energizing class includes moments of restoration, guided meditation, and the opportunity for students of all levels and experience to learn something new. 

As a yoga instructor, Jasmine continuously develops and shares her passion for yoga while creating a safe and supportive community for students to explore their practice. She educates beyond the asana practice through balanced teachings to incorporate what is learned and achieved through yoga to all areas of your life – on purpose, with purpose.
